The olive oil and the wine of Provence enjoy a pretty reputation which is in no way tarnished. The Alpilles region, home to fields of olive trees and plots of vines bathed in the Provençal sun, is no exception to the rule.
With its wine with Protected Geographical Indication (IGP Alpilles) and its Protected Designation of Origin (AOP Baux de Provence), the surroundings are full of oenological treasures. The same goes for olive oil, with the fifteen or so mills nearby. The mills are worth visiting, and the olive oil and its by-products are not to be missed!
